Property Management Insights and Burning Questions

RE:DISCOVERED – WCPT’s Property Management Conference 2019.

Last week, WCPT spent two days at the picturesque Mandoon estate with over 220 property management superstars.

Now in its second year, the WCPT PM Conference was a resounding success – delivering on our promise to offer game-changing perspectives, answer some tough PM questions, and pose even more.

The result was a day packed with really different perspectives, laser-sharp legal nous and practical ideas for incremental improvement.

Personalised PM insights

The unique live digital survey format allowed WCPT to poll WA’s property managers on the issues that mattered most to them. Many of these insights as well as an impressive stash of PM questions will be posed and answered over the coming weeks, as we collate and analyse attendee responses – including, of course, that incredibly popular and hotly debated question: what is the ideal number of properties for one PM to manage in today’s market conditions?

“We have some fabulous insights to share with PMs as well as some exciting new training areas to pursue, all based on dynamic attendee feedback. This conference is something that we are truly proud to have created and delivered to WA property managers – and just the start of our commitment to this awesome group of real estate performers”, said Jackie.

What property managers told us:

The most significant trends in PM right now are family domestic violence legislation, electronic signing and the growing use of technology, and financial hardship facing both owners and tenants.

WA property managers are also concerned about the rise of drug use in rental properties, the increasingly complex RTA legislative framework and the realities of managing their own mental health.

What property managers asked us:

– How do we see airbnb and similar sites changing a PM’s world?

– What is the magic number of properties one property manager can look after under current circumstances?

– Are people concerned that the equality scale is moving more towards tenants then home owners given proposed changes to RTA? Might this reduce rental supply?

– And many, many more!

Stay tuned for our answers over the coming weeks – and huge thanks to the attendees who made our PM RE:DISCOVERED Conference one of our proudest training moments. Here is what some of you had to say:
